Welcome to Vital Nation

Wellness Spectrum The Vitalife Concept supports and enhances all 8 components of the well-person.

We believe that it is of paramount importance that individuals prioritize their health, and thus, their happiness. As studies have shown that social connectivity among people is of vital importance for a truly healthy physiology, communities are now being designed that support healthy living through instilling socialization centers. To examine closely the 8 dimensions of the well person, one may see the areas that need to be stimulated and fulfilled by program implementation, dietary choices, environmental changes, and more.

Social
Social connectivity with others is key for good heath. Does your community provide a myriad of social opportunities for your residents or staff?

Nutritional
Are you confident that the foods and beverages you consume the most are not harmful to your health? Now, we have the gift of being able to eat wisely, while still having an abundance of great tasting and satisfying choices.

Environmental
Are you sure that your community provides proper light for reading? Clean air? Calming paint colors? There are many environmental factors that can contribute to poor or good health, and it is important to create the safest environment possible for your residents and staff.

Spiritual
Most Americans have a religion to which they faithfully commit throughout all life stages. In your community, do you provide venues for people to worship?

Physical
For many, exercise is not prioritized because it is often seen as a mundane activity. Yet, we all know the importance of daily activity for each stage of life. Does your community provide group outings and planned group activities? Walks along the beach? Golf outings? Water aerobics? What are you doing to ensure that your constituents are striving for good heath through physical activity? What are you doing to make it enjoyable for each member of your community, from the frail and sedentary to the young and active?

Occupational
Throughout life, we learn and grow. We take on new challenges, and perfect the techniques of our preferred crafts. Many believe the concept of retirement is outdated, and that there is no reason why we should ever stop working. If you are the executive director of a CCRC, are you providing your residents with ways to volunteer or work? Purpose in life is needed by all of us, especially our seniors. They are the experts; we can learn so much from them! Are your residents and staff given the platform to teach and share what they know?

Intellectual
Are you providing continuing educational courses at your institution or facility? Imagine the benefit of learning and participating in classes such as computer classes, cooking, foreign language, music, and more. It is essential that we continue to be introduced to new ideas and cultures all throughout life.

Emotional
Are you operating a work place or institution that promotes positive relationships? Do you employ a staff of professionals who are trained in the art of compassion? For not only is it essential to hire employees who have a knowledge of their craft, but also to hire people who will adhere to the strict code of ethics of your community.
